Alexandra Chin
Alexandra is a rising senior at Crystal Springs Uplands School. Her favorite unit at the Girls Who Code Summer Internship Program was Data Science, and she hopes to study Computer Science or Engineering in college. She manages the Virtual/Augmented Reality club, and strives to lessen the gender imbalance within it through leading the Girls Who Code club. She loves to explore new technologies such as 360 degree photography and flying drones. In her free time, she enjoys playing board games with her family, leading her volleyball team, singing, and learning new instruments.
Brianna Huang
Brianna is an upcoming junior at Aragon High School. She really enjoyed the Web Development unit at Girls Who Code where she learned how to make and design her own websites. Her favorite subjects in school were Biology and Computer Science, and she hopes to study Computer Science in college. Outside of school, she is a competitive swimmer and is a member of San Mateo’s Youth Activities Council. She enjoys photography, fashion, hiking, and watching movies in her free time.
Christine Rahm
Christine is an incoming senior at South San Francisco High School. She is an active member of her Cross Country and Track team along with other extracurriculars including National Honor Society, Math Club, and Church Ministry. She is also highly involved in her courses, especially Biotechnology and Chemistry. One of her favorite units of the Girls Who Code course was the Web Development session. In college, she hopes to pursue Computer Science or Biological Sciences.
Ekaterina Mcleod
Ekaterina is an incoming junior at Carlmont High School. She is a competitive gymnast at San Mateo Gymnastics, and does 24 hours of activity a week. During her free time she enjoys playing video games, such as World of Warcraft, Skyrim, and Dragon Age. Before joining the Girls Who Code program, she knew nothing about coding and programming, but as the summer progressed she learned Python, Javascript, CSS, and HTML. Her favorite part of the program was learning Web Development.
